Do I need jewelry experience?

No experience needed. Our wax carving workshops and kits are made for everyone.

What is the difference between the Workshops and the DIY option?

Workshops are monthly scheduled events where snacks and refreshments are provided. The workshops are hosted by an instructor and you will go through each step together as a group. This option provides the most direction and guidance. Perfect option for celebrations or special occasions.

The DIY is a self directed experience with the flexibility to be done at any time. We ask that you come in at least 3 hours before closing to allow yourself enough time to complete your creation. If you require more time, you are free to come back within 14 days to complete it.

Do I take my ring home after the workshop?

Not yet!

At the end of the workshop you will entrust us with your wax ring. We will cast your ring and transform your wax creation into sterling silver or gold. The finished piece will be polished and cleaned.

Your completed ring will be ready for pickup in approximately 3-4 weeks for our workshops and 4-6 weeks for our IN CAFE creations. We will email or text you to let you know your ring is ready for pickup.

If you are not local, we offer shipping options.

Do I need to bring or purchase tools?

No. We provide all required tools and materials to create your ring. If you are interested in purchasing your own set of tools, please let us know.

I booked a workshop but I can't make it. What can I do?

We understand that life can busy and unpredictable.

Your reservation can be transferred to another individual. If you need to reschedule, we ask that you notify us at least 48 hours in advance for workshops and 6 hours for IN-CAFE sessions.

Any cancellations or rescheduling less than the hours specified above will be subject to a fee. Our workshops are final sale but your credit does not expire and can be transferred to someone else or into store credit.

What if I break my wax?

This is actually very common.

Bring your broken wax ring to us and we will help you mend the pieces back together.

Don't worry and enjoy the process!

DIY Option: What if I don't like my wax ring design.

Sometime our vision doesn't turn out exactly as we imagined.

That is okay! If you want to start fresh, you can purchase a new wax blank for $10-$15 and start again. You can repeat this process as many times as you like within 14 days. Once you have a creation you like, we can cast it into sterling silver.

Is there an age restriction?

Yes, please see the breakdown below.

16 & UNDER: We ask that anyone under the age of 16 is accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire session.

16 to 18: We ask that a parent or guardian accompany you to the check-in to provide consent for your participation. The parent or guardian is not required to stay during the session but are welcomed to if they would like to stay.

Do we need an appointment?

Walk-ins are welcomed but subject to availability.

We highly recommend reserving a time online to ensure your spot. The also allows our staff to plan for your arrival and set aside time to explain the tools and process in more detail.

We suggest coming in at least 3 hours before store closing to ensure sufficient time to complete your wax ring. Walk-ins will not be accepted within 2 hours of store closing.

FAQ: Charm Bar Workshop

Can I book the charm bar for a private event at my place?

Yes, we offer mobile services for customers that would like to host a charm bar event.

If you can't bring your guests to our stunning boutique, we can send a staff to your location to host the charm bar. You may select the workshop style or have our staff help assemble the pieces.

How does the charm bar work?

  1. You will start with browsing our large collection of charms and chains.
  2. Grab a tray and start picking the charms and chain you like.
  3. Arrange the charms in the design you like.
  4. Once you are happy with the design, come find our staff. Let us know if you would like us to assemble the piece or make it a workshop.

Assemble: Browse the boutique or grab a seat on our couch while we assemble the piece.

Workshop: Our staff will set you up with the tools and materials required. You will receive an instruction sheet and be given a quick demo on how to assemble the piece. Grab a seat in our workshop area and feel free to find our staff if you have questions or want assistance with assembling the piece. Once your are done, our staff will check over each charm and make any required adjustments.

How much does it cost?

There are many factors that can affect the final price of your charm piece such as the number of charms and the style of charms selected.

  • Our chains range between $15-$25
  • Charms are $4, $6, and $9 each.

For parties and events we can create packages to help with budgeting and planning. Let us know your budget and we will currate 3 packages for you to pick from.

What is the material of the chain & charms?

Our chains are all stainless steel or gold plated stainless steel.

Our charms come in various materials.

  • Stainless steel (gold plated and non plated)
  • Brass with gold or silver plating
  • Copper with gold or silver plating

Ask a staff if you want to learn more about which charms are stainless steel. Stainless steel is our preferred option for durability.

Workshop: What if we have difficulties assembling it?

Our staff is always happy to assist with assembling if you encounter any difficulties during the workshop option.

We can help with that one charm giving you a hard time or complete the rest of the piece for you.

We want to keep this activity fun! Do not be shy to ask for help.

Workshop: I've never made jewelry before.

No experience needed!

Our staff will teach you how to open and close the jump rings to assemble your piece. It is easy and each charm gets easier.

We encourage you to try but our staff is always ready to assist with the assembling.

FAQ: Silver Clay

Can I bring items for the design creation?

Yes, feel free to bring anything you would like to use to add texture or to leave an impression into the clay.

Common items:

  • Leaves
  • Shells
  • Other Jewelry
  • Items with unique textures
  • Stamps and items to leave an impression
  • Etc.

Do you have an age restriction?

This workshop involves using a torch and open flame to finish the piece of jewelry.

All minors (under 18) requires a parent to accompany them to provide consent to fire their own item. If no consent is provided then a staff would be happy to finish the piece for you.

Not recommended for anyone under the age of 12.

What is the difference between sterling silver and fine silver?

The biggest difference is puriety.

Sterling silver contains 92.5% of silver while fine silver contains 99.9% silver.

Can I create a larger piece?

YES!

Each workshop comes with 5g of precious metal clay which is enough for 1-2 small pendant.

Additional clay can be purchased for larger creations. You are free to purchase as many packages (5g each) as required for your design.

Unused or leftover clay cannot be refunded and we suggest purchasing more as you need it.

Will I get to take my jewelry home on the same day?

YES!

You will be left with a beautiful fine silver piece of jewelry that can be brought home immediately.

If you would like to add a rhodium or gold plating then we will require you to come back to pick up your piece.
